Sue Harlan Scholarship Fund

Sue Harlan, CFE, CFCA, AAS, Certified General Appraiser, served Florida’s property appraisers, tax collectors, and their staff for 20 years through the Property Tax Oversight (PTO) program at the Florida Department of Revenue (FDOR). Starting as a senior appraiser in 2002, she advanced to manage every process in the program, gaining superior knowledge and expertise of Florida’s entire property tax system. At the time of her death in April 2022, Sue was the PTO program director, the most senior position in the program. Throughout her career, Sue advised and mentored numerous colleagues and was a constant advocate for continuing education and professional development.

The Florida Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers (FCIAAO) and the family of Sue Harlan have established a memorial scholarship fund. The Sue Harlan Scholarship Fund honors her legacy by providing registration scholarships for non-FDOR members to attend educational workshops and the annual FCIAAO conference who would not have the opportunity otherwise.
